ATHLOS, the record-breaking all-women’s track league, announces its first-ever
event outside the US — and we’ve teamed up to get our community 20% off
tickets. If you’ve been paying attention to women’s sports over the last couple of years, you’ll
already know the name ATHLOS. If you haven’t — get ready, because this September the
league lands on British soil for the first time, and Mumble Forum is proud to be part of
bringing it to you.
Who Are ATHLOS?
ATHLOS isn’t just another track meet. Launched in 2024 by Reddit co-founder and
women’s sports investor Alexis Ohanian, it was built on a simple but overdue idea: the
fastest women on the planet deserve a stage as big as the sport itself, not just a
spotlight once every four years at the Olympics. Working alongside Acting President
Kayla Green and athletes like Gabby Thomas, Ohanian shaped ATHLOS around the
athletes’ own vision of what they’d been missing — real investment, real prize money,
and a genuine platform.
The result blends elite competition with festival-level production: think the intensity of a
world-class track meet paired with the energy of a live music event. It’s already
delivered the largest prize purse ever offered at a women’s-only track competition, and
it’s fast becoming one of the most talked-about events in sport.
The Mission: Putting Women’s Track Centre Stage

At its heart, ATHLOS exists to change how women’s track and field is valued — treating it
as a headline sporting event in its own right, not a supporting act. That means real
money, real spectacle, and real recognition for athletes who’ve spent too long being
overlooked outside major championships. It’s part of a broader wave in women’s sport —
following the same blueprint of investment and visibility that’s transformed leagues likethe NWSL — proving that when you back female athletes properly, audiences show up in
force.
London Calling: A First for the League

After two hugely successful seasons in New York, ATHLOS is going international for the
very first time — and London is the destination. On Friday 18th September 2026,
StoneX Stadium will host ATHLOS London, and the roster is stacked:
Keely Hodgkinson — Olympic champion, defending her ATHLOS 800m title on
home soil
Sha’Carri Richardson
Gabby Thomas
Georgia Hunter Bell
Amber Anning
Tara Davis-Woodhall

Adding to the moment, the BBC has just been announced as ATHLOS’s official UK
broadcast partner — meaning this event will be beamed live and on-demand to
audiences across the country, cementing ATHLOS London as a genuine milestone for
women’s sport in Britain.
As Kayla Green put it: this is exactly what the league’s global expansion is about — the
best of women’s track, on the biggest platforms in the world.
