London, 5 March 2026 Last night in Mayfair, Mumble Forum, in partnership with Maddox Gallery, hosted Women Shaping Culture, a powerful International Women’s Day gathering that brought together artists, collectors, founders and cultural leaders for an evening dedicated to creativity, dialogue and global impact.
The event supported the Malala Fund, the organisation founded by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, whose mission is ensuring 12 years of free, safe, quality education for every girl, from primary school through secondary education.
Today, 130 million girls around the world are still denied the right to education, not because they lack ambition or ability, but because poverty, conflict and inequality prevent them from stepping into a classroom. Women Shaping Culture was created in response to this reality, using the power of art, conversation and community to raise awareness and funds for girls’ education globally.
A cultural gathering with purpose
Founded by Monique Hodgson in 2019, Mumble Forum has grown into a global platform connecting ambitious creative women across industries — from art and fashion to business and technology. The evening brought together the community’s network of founders, artists, collectors and cultural voices for a conversation exploring how creativity can shape a more equitable future.
Hosted at Maddox Gallery,, the event also coincided with a private viewing of the gallery’s exhibition HER, celebrating female artists whose work challenge traditional narratives around women’s identity and representation.
The exhibition featured internationally renowned artists including:
Yayoi Kusama
Tracey Emin
Bridget Riley
alongside contemporary artists Charlotte Rose, Céline Ali, INAE, Jessica Brilli, Helen Beard, Kate Brinkworth, Bibi Lei, Mina Alikhani and Julie Curtiss. Works from the exhibition were available for acquisition throughout the evening.

Panel discussion: Women Shaping Culture
The evening’s panel discussion was led by Rachel Thomas, Chief Curator of the Hayward Gallery, who explored how women artists and cultural leaders are shaping new narratives and influencing contemporary culture.
Fi Lovett, Global Gallery Director at Maddox Gallery
Charlotte Rose, artist: A self-taught painter whose work examines consumer culture and female representation, spoke about her creative practice which draws from her earlier career in fashion modelling. Her paintings interrogate the aspirational imagery of luxury branding and advertising, challenging the ideals often projected onto women through popular culture.

Art, community and impact
Guests gathered for an evening of art, conversation and philanthropy, with music by broadcaster and DJ Jules Cameron, wines provided by Kylie Minogue Wines, and gourmet canapés served by Queens of Mayfair.
A silent auction curated by fundraising partners A Star Experience raised funds for the Malala Fund during the event and will continue accepting donations.

Monique Hodgson, Founder of Mumble Forum
“At Mumble Forum, we believe in the transformative power of connection and creativity. This International Women’s Day, we were proud to bring together artists, cultural leaders and our global community to amplify women’s voices while supporting the fundamental right of girls everywhere to access education. When women gather with purpose, meaningful change becomes possible.”
Mario Zonias, Founder, Maddox Gallery
“Monique Hodgson and Mumble Forum created something truly meaningful with us. We brought together artists whose work challenge convention — Kusama, Emin, Riley and a new generation of powerful voices. They brought the cause. Together we created an evening where art refuses to look away, in support of girls around the world who are still being told they cannot learn.”
Rachel Thomas, Chief Curator, Hayward Gallery
“Beyond the gallery walls, the creative force for change must reach those whose voices are currently being silenced. Initiatives like this demonstrate how art and community can bridge the gap between awareness and action. When we recognise women artists not as a niche category but as central drivers of cultural progress, we begin to imagine a very different future.”
The evening also celebrates the release of a limited edition scarf designed for IWD in support of Malala fund by @quintetlondon X @monique_hodgson_

Special thanks to our partners Mozart Concierge, SKN Code London, YEW drinks, Karlo Baker, London Sound and Light, Kylie Minogue Wines and Queens of Mayfair, whose generous support helped make the evening possible.
